# About me
I make sure I have enough depth and breadth in my knowledge so that I can troubleshoot and fix issues quickly, example: example 1: Our corporate website (a WordPress build managed by an external vendor) suddenly started redirecting to a staging environment. The vendor struggled for hours with no solution. Thanks to my self-taught background in white hat hacking, I pay close attention to subtle metadata. Without any prior PHP or WordPress architecture experience, I analyzed the HTTP response headers and noticed an X-Redirect-By tag pointing to a specific plugin. I identified the rogue plugin, disabled it, and resolved the issue within minutes. The root cause was later confirmed as a misconfiguration by a vendor's new hire.
example 2: We discovered a fake app impersonating our company. While the team spent hours trying to reverse engineer the app to read the source code, I took a different approach. By analyzing the mobile traffic (packet sniffing) and performing a reverse DNS lookup on the suspicious domains, I traced the attacker's server location in about ten minutes—saving us from a rabbit hole of decompiled code.
example 3: I don't just stop at resolving issues; I scrutinize whether the fix aligns with the original design intent. For instance, in the vendor-built Kafka microservice system, I identified critical bugs causing full state resets upon recovery—which contradicted the initial design. Since the original developers had left and no one fully understood the core engine, the vendor's patch felt like a band-aid solution. By conducting a deep-dive analysis, I proposed a more robust fix that was truly consistent with the engine’s architecture.
hi, i'm xxx, i've working in IT industry for 15 years, i have my own website sharing my IT knowledges for free, it covers traditional software development/blockchain/eithical hacking and hardware like raspberry pi and arduino. my last job experience is mainly focusing on java development using spring boot and spring cloud components, we developed clearing system from scratch and i partipicated in all lifecycles from system design to deployment and migration to cloud, and i also implemented serveral side projects on my own for example the btcp funding rate calc. my personal hobby is both exploring new IT technics and dive down existing technics in my personal time, for example when i explore blockchain I was very curios about ECDSA and it triggered my insteresting of connecting the dots from AES RSA i previously learned in https with this ECDSA, so i self learned Professor Christof Paar's online cryptography course to understand how cryptography involved from shift cipher to public-key cryptography, FROM RSA TO Elliptic Curve Cryptosystems, AND then to better understand the underpin cyclic groups, i self learned Abstract algebra group theory.
and along the way i understand that not all the cryptography set up are safe, some may have vulnerbilities, then i tried one of it called padding oracle and i successfully passed Encrypted Pastebin test on hacker101, i very enjoyed the moment when I can understand the whole theory and technica and utilize it successfully.
It's always being my great feel of statisfaction when i understood IT knowledges which i already know from another perspective or grasp a new skills, for example the first time i can view a software product from hackers point of view and can exploit the vulnerbilities i identified, the first time i can assembly some arduino hardware pieces and make it work. in summary, i love to use my known kownledges and also egar to learn new things so that i can keep building my own knowledges palacess making the exsiting ones stronger and adding new ones.
talking about my weekness i think firt i'm not a smart person or genius person, i have to devote myself and put a lot of time to get result, i don't like to say i understand this thing or that 100%. another one should be that i don't quite like to memorize all the details, i believe most normal people like me when we have explored so many different areas of IT knowledges, it's quite challenge for me to remember every details of each techinics, that's why i have my own website and github repo, what i do is lazy loading, i keep notes and organize the kownledge base nicely and then clear from my memory, for example when i use redis i'll read through my notes and quikly pick up the most important details that i need and load it into my active brain zone, when i don't use it i'll gradually clean it from my brain, i'm not sure how other people can memorize so many things all the time but that's the way i do it, probably a weekness.
optimized: Hi, I’m XXX. I have been working in the IT industry for over 15 years. I also run my own website where I share IT knowledge for free. The topics cover traditional software development, blockchain, ethical hacking, and hardware projects involving Raspberry Pi and Arduino.
In my most recent role, I mainly focused on Java development using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud. My team developed a clearing system from scratch, and I participated in the full software lifecycle, including system design, development, deployment, and cloud migration. I also built several side projects independently, such as a BTC perpetual funding rate calculator.
One of my biggest interests is continuously exploring new technologies while also deeply understanding existing ones. For example, when I started learning blockchain, I became very curious about ECDSA. That curiosity led me to connect it with concepts like AES and RSA that I had previously encountered in HTTPS and cryptography.
To gain a deeper understanding, I self-studied Professor Christof Paar’s online cryptography course, where I learned how cryptography evolved from classical ciphers to public-key cryptography, from RSA to elliptic curve cryptography. To better understand the mathematical foundations behind these systems, I also self-learned abstract algebra and group theory.
Along the way, I realized that not all cryptographic implementations are secure, and some contain vulnerabilities. I became interested in security research and experimented with attacks such as the Padding Oracle Attack. I successfully completed the Encrypted Pastebin challenge on Hacker101. I really enjoy the process of understanding both the theory and the practical implementation, and then applying that knowledge successfully in real-world scenarios.
What gives me the greatest sense of satisfaction is gaining a deeper understanding of technology from different perspectives or mastering new skills. For example, the first time I viewed software from a hacker’s perspective and successfully exploited a vulnerability I identified, or the first time I assembled Arduino hardware components and made them work.
In summary, I enjoy both applying my existing knowledge and continuously learning new things. I like building connections between different areas of technology and strengthening my overall understanding over time.
As for my weaknesses, first, I don’t consider myself a genius or naturally gifted person. I usually need to invest significant time and effort to truly understand something deeply. I also tend to avoid claiming that I understand something “100%” because technology always has more depth to explore.
Another weakness is that I don’t try to memorize every technical detail permanently. After exploring many areas of IT, it becomes difficult to retain everything in active memory all the time. That’s one reason why I maintain my own website and GitHub repositories as structured knowledge bases.
My approach is somewhat like “lazy loading” in software engineering: I organize and document knowledge clearly, and when I need a technology again — for example Redis — I can quickly review my notes, reload the important concepts into active memory, and become productive again efficiently. When I stop using a technology for a while, I naturally let some low-level details fade. I’m not sure whether this is a weakness or simply my personal learning style, but it’s how I manage knowledge across many technical domains.

Don't spend too much time on this. It isn’t important. I'd like to spend a little less time in meetings and more time actually doing some work. Too few people have applied for the post. We don’t have enough good candidates. Hardly anyone internally has applied. They are nearly all external. Lots of time has been spent on this. Too much in fact.
We've always stay true to our principle of fairness to the customer and the supplier. Companies in the 21st century which don't act responsibly are likely to receive bad publicity. If we did more videoconferencing and less flying, we'd reduce the impact we have on the environment. Currently, this factory doesn't comply with regulations on the disposal of waste water. All our subsidiaries share a strong commitment to supporting the local community.

They're offering people over 55 the chance to take early retirement. They've asked me to move to Sales, but it seems like a sideways平级调动 move. Many women in my position reach a glass ceiling and can't go any further. It's only a temporary secondment借调 for six months while a colleague goes on maternity leave. 1,300 workers have been laid off from a factory in Marseille. To retain our key staff, it may be necessary to offer additional incentives. We found that bringing in flexitime reduced staff turnover 人员流动率 指员工离职率 and in fact increased applications from skilled people. Many employees prefer plenty of job mobility “岗位轮换”或“职能流动” to staying in one place for the whole of their career. In order to get on in life 生活中成功是固定搭配, it's who you know, not what you know.
I suggest you weigh up all the options before you make a final decision. Sometimes you just have to trust your own instincts rather than spend more time analysing facts. As long as everyone else has confidence in your decisions, then things will probably work out OK. I simply can’t decide between the two options. Which do you think is better?
fairness: Company agrees to pay workers from other countries an equal amount. bribery: CEO paid colleagues to take part in illegal financial activities. discrimination: Woman to prosecute company for paying her less than male colleagues doing the same job. 它确实不是个完整句子,但这是故意的。这是报纸标题写法(headline style)A woman is taking legal action against the company / is going to prosecute the company for paying her less than male colleagues doing the same job. generosity: Business owner leaves fortune to charity. greed: Shareholders take profits while workers receive no pay rise. outgoing: He loves socializing and meeting people. Journalist: Will the fact that so many companies are now outsourcing lead to major job losses over there? Politician: Certainly jobs in sectors such as telecommunications and IT could be affected. Journalist: But this means skilled workers are out of work. Where will they find new jobs? Politician: Well, of course, companies will retain their core activities which will always need well-qualified people with expertise. I also want to add that outsourcing is necessary for companies to gain through a competitive edge. Without streamlining their operations they won't survive in the global economy.

You can check the details with Amalie. She 's coming in later this afternoon as arranged. One day, when I have enough money, I'm going to start my own business. The flight from Jakarta lands at 5 p.m. your time according to my e-ticket.
Sorry about the late delivery. Let me call the warehouse to check and I'll call you straight back.
Statistics show that export growth is at 5% this year. You will notice on this chart how many jobs have been lost. Have a look at these figures. A further point to mention is that Bangalore has a high-trained workforce. Let's turn our attention to the effects of this. Looking at this slide, we can see the reason for the fall. We've looked at India, so let's move on to China. This next part relates back to what I was saying earlier. Before I go today, I'd like to leave you with some food for thought 值得琢磨的东西 / 让人回去想一想的点子、问题或提醒(不是真食物). The message I'd like to send you away with today is this.
A: I'm really sorry, I completely forgot the time. B: No problem, I was busy too.
A: When are you back in the office? B: I'm not sure. I'll let you know before I leave today.
A: What we need to decide on today is what to include in the repatriation package. The areas we need to discuss are salaries, education for children and the request for loans to buy houses. Let's look at what our options are. One option would be to offer a basic package to everyone. B: Sorry, but it just wouldn't work if we offered everyone the same. For example, you have some people with no children and some with five. Then you have people already with a house and those with nowhere to live when they get back. A: Well, supposing we gave everyone the same salary rise as a percentage? B: That's a good start. And then what I propose is that we take each person case-by-case. So if you guaranteed equal pay rises, I think they'd let you bargain more easily with other incentives. A: Good. That sounds like a plan. So, a recap. If I look at realistic figures for the rise, you'll spend some time looking at each individual's needs. OK? B: I'm happy with that. I can even talk to each of them by phone before the official meeting ...
A: We'd like to invite you to the theatre this evening. B: That would be great. What's on? A: It's a Russian theatre company performing Hamlet. B: That sounds really interesting.
A: If you're free, we'd be delighted to see you at dinner this evening. B: Sorry, but I'm meeting someone for drinks at six. A: Oh well, you're welcome to come later if you change your mind.
A: While you are in Italy, it would be a good idea to visit our supplier in Salerno. It will save time and money later on. B: That makes sense. A: Ask them to show you round their factory. It's well worth a visit.
A: Looking at the facts. They’re here in black and white. We are overspending. B: What you say is right, but there are some good reasons. We’ve had to invest in more advertising and marketing in order to grow. A: Yes, but that was budgeted for last year. What I mean is we’ve spent money on unplanned items. A classic example is this list of expenses. I’m not convinced that all these are necessary. Look at this restaurant bill for over $200! A: Exactly. But that is a marketing cost. Clients have to be taken out. B: In other words, you’re saying our staff should go to the most expensive restaurants they can find. A: Obviously I think it would be crazy for an employee on a business trip to only choose expensive places on their own. But with clients it’s important. B: Jens, what’s your position on this? C: As far as I’m concerned, until we set clear limits and give our staff written guidelines on travel expenses, we’ll always have this discussion … B: … but the drawback is that every trip is different. It’s hard to say there’s one rule for every type of expense. A: Hang on. Let’s hear what Jens has to say. C: In my opinion we need to define what they can and can’t do. A: Good idea. Let’s draw up some action points …
budgeted — "that was budgeted for last year" At core: put into the official spending plan and approved in advance, not improvised. A company's budget is the forward-looking document where Finance says: we may spend £X on Y, and here's the cap. When something was budgeted, it passed that process — it's been earmarked, the money is (supposedly) set aside for it, and spending it isn't itself the scandal. In this speaker's mouth it's doing a rhetorical job: "Advertising & marketing — fine, I actually agree those cost money. Those were budgeted, so I'm not complaining about those. What I'm complaining about is the stuff that wasn't — the unplanned creep." So the native-speaker connotation is: legitimate / authorized / expected vs. off-the-books / ad-hoc.Saying "it was budgeted" is a way of drawing a line — this spend has a paper trail; the rest doesn't.
take out — "Clients have to be taken out." The phrasal verb is take someone out = host them socially at your expense (typically dinner, drinks, a show, golf, etc.), andit's understood that you're paying specifically to build/maintain the relationship. I'll take you out for dinner→ I'm treating you. In business: take clients out→ client entertainment / hospitality as a recognised category of spend. The key nuance: it's not just "go out together." It carries who's paying + the instrumental purpose (relationship management, deal flow, goodwill). That's why A uses it defensively — "That $200 isn't waste, it's the cost of doing business. Client relationships require face-time and a meal on us." (There's also a faint old-school corporate flavour to it — "taking people out" is the kind of thing strict companies now police heavily with per-diems and written policies, which is exactly the argument C is about to make.)
# description of the graph
Overall Summary
The graph illustrates the total number of cumulative jobs exported from the United States over a 20-year period, from 1992 to 2012. The vertical axis represents the number of jobs in millions, while the horizontal axis shows the years. Overall, the trend is one of massive and consistent growth, with the total number of jobs increasing almost fivefold by the end of the period.
Initial Phase (1992–2000) In 1992, the baseline for cumulative jobs exported was extremely low, starting at just 0.6 million. Over the next eight years, the graph shows a steady and linear increase. By the year 2000, the figure had risen to approximately 9.2 million, indicating a significant acceleration in job exports during the 1990s.
Acceleration Phase (2000–2008) The growth continued into the 21st century without any significant decline. The rate of increase remained high, pushing the cumulative total past the 20-million mark around 2006. By 2008, the graph reached its peak value for the observed period, hitting 28.7 million cumulative exported jobs.
Recent Trends (2008–2012) After reaching its zenith in 2008, the graph shows a slight downward movement. However, the decline is minimal, and by 2012, the figure had only decreased marginally to 28.1 million. Despite this minor dip towards the end of the period, the overall level remains exceptionally high compared to the starting point.
a description of the line graphs: Dips slightly: A small drop. Sharp increase: A steep rise. Highest/Lowest point: The peak/trough. Steady decline: A consistent fall. Plateau: A period where the value stays relatively flat. Trajectory: The path or direction of the data. Crashes dramatically: Falls very sharply. an upward trend surge, climb, soar, skyrocket, boom, rise steadily the highest point peak, climax, summit, record high, maximum a downward trend decline, slump, plummet, collapse, nosedive, fall sharply the lowest point trough, nadir, rock bottom, minimum, all - time low stability remain steady, stabilize, plateau, hold constant, maintain equilibrium fluctuation vary, oscillate, swing, seesaw, experience ups and downs
Sales shot up dramatically and surpassed all our expectations. The coverage rate decreased steadily by 10% every year. There was a slight rise in unit price from £0.75 to £0.77. The marketing department has grown considerably in the last three years and doubled its size. A gradual rise in raw material prices has slowly but surely eroded our margin. Up to now we have ignored the rapid growth in the sector but the growth is so fast that we cannot continue to do this. There was a sharp and noticeable jump in wastage in a very short time. The online marketing costs are dropping slightly. However, the decline is so small that we shouldn't include it in the final figures.
Let's move on to the statistics. In the 1960s we spent about 25% of our household income on food, but this has now actually dropped from 10% to 15%. However, the proportion of the average food budget that we spend in restaurants and on takeaways has risen dramatically from 2% to 33% in the same period. Most importantly, I would like to point out that annual national expenditure on ready meals fluctuated somewhere between £250 million and £300 million just 10 years ago but this has now jumped from nearly £400 million to almost £700 million. This has resulted from an increase by 100% in the numbers of single households and a decline in the time we spend cooking our main meal. This was around 2.5 hours in the 60s but has fallen significantly and today stands at 15 minutes. What does all this mean for us in the packaging industry?
To our surprise, it was the sales of Product A that took off over the Christmas period with sales 51% above target and Product B that slumped with sales 34% below target. As a result, we are redesigning the packaging for Product B and are forecasting that sales will recover by Easter. If this does not happen and sales show no improvement, we will seriously have to consider taking Product B off the market.
In this period, Brand A's market share slipped from 9% to 8% and Brand B's share plummeted from 6% to just 1%. Our Brand Z rose from 10% to 25%. If we look at the budget for TV advertising during this period, we can see clearly that Brand Z doubled its budget from €250,000 to €500,000. The print advertising budget emained stable during the same period but was concentrated on the target market.
I'd now like to focus on the carbon dioxide content. Have a look at this graph. There have been unexpected fluctuations in the carbon dioxide content since the first unit was installed three years ago. It has fluctuated between 0.33% and 4% as we have experienced multiple failures. The units are now working efficiently and carbon dioxide content is held steady at 0.33% and we expect this to stay at 0.2% by the end of the year.
Let's move onto the statistics. In 1900, 15% of the workforce was aged over 55 and by 2000 this had grown significantly to 33%. We expect this to jump to roughly 40% by 2030. Life expectancy was approximately 46 years in 1900 but this has soared dramatically to round about 80 today. What does this all mean for us when we look at the question of age diversity?
Tip If you describe a lot of trends, use a wide variety of vocabulary and be dramatic. Sales rocketed in the third quarter is more dramatic and tells your audience more about the trend than Sales increased in the third quarter, for example.
"Okay, let’s have a look at these two line graphs.
Starting with the top graph: The overall trend here shows a significant decrease over the year. At the beginning of the year, in January, the figure starts at around 60%. It then dips slightly in February, but then we see a sharp increase, reaching the highest point of the entire year—almost 90%—in March. After this peak, the line goes into a steady decline throughout the middle of the year. There’s a small plateau or slight flattening during the summer months of June and July, hovering around the 50% mark. However, it continues to fall after that, hitting the lowest point at the very end of the year in December, where it drops below the 25% line, to roughly 20%.
Now, looking at the bottom graph: This graph follows a very similar pattern, but the figures are generally lower. It also starts in January, but at a much lower point—around 40%. It increases gradually to a peak in March, although this peak is noticeably lower than the first graph, sitting at about 55%. From March onwards, it follows a downward trajectory. By the end of the year, in December, the line crashes dramatically. It falls well below the 20% grid line, ending up at approximately 10%."

D. Dealing with Project Problems
Think of a common problem together that one of your customers might complain about. If you are in the customer role try to think form their perspective. What is the problem? What action do you want and when do you want it? For the staff role try to think of how you can keep the customer satisfied whilst making sure you do not promise something you cannot deliver. Try to make sure you reach a WIN-WIN situation.
Customer:
"Hi. I'm calling about the software update. It was supposed to be ready this morning, but I still haven't got the download link. I'm a bit stuck here. Any chance you could check on that for me?"
Staff:
"Hello, sorry about that. Let me have a look... Right, it looks like we hit a small snag with the final checks. I can't promise it'll be there in the next ten minutes, but I can chase the tech team for you. As an apology, I'll add an extra month of support onto your account, free of charge. Does that sound alright?"
Customer:
"That's fair enough, cheers. Just as long as I get it by lunchtime."
Staff:
"No worries. I'll drop you an email the moment it's live. Thanks for your patience."

In a competitive business, you can only succeed if you see a new gap in the market. I think you'll need about €50,000 as start-up capital to launch your new company. If you look at our business plan you'll see it contains our financial estimates. I'd rather borrow the money from my parents than have to share the profits with a venture capitalist. If I lend you €30,000 to set up the business, what do you expect will be the return on my investment? A business angel could give you some extra financial backing, until you start making a profit. We made use of our large network contacts and found people who could help us.

B: I've had a couple of jobs since I left TTB but I've just set up on my own. Which reminds me. Could you do me a favour? A: Sure. B: The thing is, I've been looking for a document recently on website insurance. I think I left it at TTB. A: Well, I'm not sure. Send me the details and I'll see what I can do.

A: It's good of you to meet me this morning. B: Don't mention it. When was the last time we saw each other? A: At that conference in Lisbon. B: That's right. How's life treating you? A: Not bad, though I've had problems with my employer. Actually that's the reason why I asked to meet. Could you put me in touch with anyone who might have a position, since you're well known in the business? B: I'll certainly think about it. Why don't we have a drink first. - Can I Can I 是「走个口头流程,我默认你不会拦我/这事儿小到你不至于不许」;Could I 是把「批不批准的最终决定权」完全递到对方手里,明明白白告诉他「我知道这事儿归你管,我真的在等你点头」
- would you like me to
- would it help if I
母语者才知道的反常识潜规则(中式英语最容易踩坑)
❌ 根本不存在「永远用Could就更礼貌」的规则:你对亲哥说「Could you lift that end of the sofa for me bro?」他绝对笑你「你丫喝多了?叫你哥帮个忙还整这么外道?」过度客套反而显生分、像你在讽刺他。
地位/金钱关系会直接推翻亲疏逻辑:你是付了钱的消费者,对服务员说「Can you take this wrong order back?」完全合理,没人觉得你粗鲁;但你免费蹭朋友的车,哪怕你们穿一条裤子,也得说「Could you drop me off at the 7-11?」

Story: The Ultimate Bad Day of Paco
(1. Introducing the story) Did I ever tell you about the worst night of my friend Paco’s life? You think you have bad days, but trust me, Paco’s takes the cake.
(2. Sequencing Phrases) It started so innocently. He was just lying in bed, fast asleep. Then what happened was, the bed frame completely collapsed under him! He woke up with terrible back pain.
(3. Phrases for keeping the listener involved) Limping to the bathroom to ease the pain, you'll never guess what happened next. He stepped right on a rusty nail! He screamed, jumped back in shock, and ended up slipping down the entire staircase. When he looked in the mirror, he had two massive black eyes—he looked like a panda.
(2. Sequencing Phrases) After that, things didn't get better. He took some painkillers, but they were so strong that he immediately threw up everywhere. Later, still clutching his aching back, he managed to call the doctor to schedule an emergency appointment for the morning.
(3. Phrases for keeping the listener involved) You won't believe what happened when he was waiting for the taxi the next morning. While standing at the curb, a stray dog ran up and bit his leg! He was hopping around in agony, which is exactly when the taxi pulled up.
(2. Sequencing Phrases) Suddenly, as he was getting into the cab, a speeding car came out of nowhere. The impact sent Paco flying. So, he ended up with a compound fracture in his arm—the bone was literally sticking out!
(4. Phrases for returning to story after interruption) Okay, deep breaths... so anyway, the ambulance finally arrived. The paramedics put him on a stretcher to carry him inside. As I was saying, just as they lifted him, one of them tripped, and Paco slid right off the stretcher back onto the pavement. This time, his leg snapped too, and yes, the bone came out.
(5. Ending an anecdote) In the end, they rushed him to the ER. The doctor gave him a shot, but even then, fate wasn't done with him. The needle snapped clean off and stayed stuck in his skin! To cut a long story short, if you visit Paco today, you’ll find him lying in a hospital bed, wrapped from head to toe in bandages like a mummy. It’s been one disaster after another!

Light provisioning will be provided 在航空、航海、技术文档等高度标准化的领域,沟通的首要原则是清晰、客观、避免歧义。使用被动语态能将注意力集中在关键的动作或状态上。例如,在航空通信中,说“The landing gear was extended”(起落架已放下)比“The pilot extended the landing gear”(飞行员放下了起落架)更简洁、焦点更突出。它弱化了个人因素,强调标准程序已被执行这一事实本身。 如果使用 “is going to be provided”,会隐含一种“(我们)打算/计划提供灯光”的意味。这会给通知带入一丝“主观意图”的色彩,仿佛这个决定是某个操作员临时起意或系统刚刚计划好的,反而削弱了通知作为既定程序的确定性和可靠性 。

hi bro, can help check when is the cut off time for this file to upload, lattest by what time? it's not hurry , just enquiry <= Hey bro, I believe it should be done before the daily 'Shift Market Price' task runs at 6 PM — just to confirm, the file you upload only contains the last price, right? But I'm curious: since you guys aren't sure about the latest time, how do you normally decide when to upload it? I mean, by rights, Peter should have sent you a daily operations manual or something that tells you what to do when and what the dependencies are — that's why I'm asking.
hi , gotten news from xx that DMP is over. you guys can revert the DEV environment back to normal. <=Just to clarify, do you mean shutting down the environment? Since it's a testing space, there isn't really a 'default' state to go back to. If it's no longer needed, we can decommission it.
I'm looking for a role that offers more stimulation. I find highly repetitive tasks can be a bit demotivating over time.
I wish to make a formal complaint. I'm not satisfied with the current arrangement regarding my workload and compensation. I'd like to formally raise a grievance.
My colleague left, and I've taken over. The boss says I'm doing brilliantly, but there's been zero compensation for the extra workload./Apparently, praise is the only compensation I get for doing two people's jobs now.
Jus reach home.I need to put the kids to bed tonight, so shall we hop on a Tencent Meeting tomorrow to go through this together?
Do you want me to manually trigger these jobs now, or just wait for the auto-run tonight to generate the reports?
Please refrain from performing any operations while I am backing up the database.
Hi xxx, sorry for delay, on sick leave today. Just approved your ticket Hope you feel better soon! Take care.
Testing shows there is no impact on the xxx system, which is now retrieving api data normally. However, I suspect this is infrastructure-related. Could you please investigate why some user accounts were locked on both the xxx and xxx system?"
The PostgreSQL user on the xxx Server appears to be locked by an admin. Since xx is currently unavailable, I’ve raised a access ticket and it is now pending approval from xxx."
I’m familiar with fast-forwarding, but this was my first time manually generating operational reports. I quickly skimmed through the cron job to understand the dependencies.
Upon checking, these three files appear to be generated by mctrl, specifically from a process called ‘FEE OVERRIDE RECON’. Could you please give it a try?
By the way, could we schedule the release for May 30th? xxx (the vendor providing the 4‑eye check for me) isn’t available until then. Alternatively, I can handle it myself if government regulations permit—I’ll confirm this during this week’s CAB meeting.
I’ll be out this morning for a half day. Can I check back with you this afternoon? /Just a heads-up that I’m on a half-day leave today. May I circle back to you regarding this matter this afternoon? /Taking a half day off today. I can look into this for you once I’m back this afternoon.
A: "Hey, just a heads-up, we actually already covered this question earlier." B: "My bad! Think I missed that. Could you run through it again?" A: "This was asked already lol." B: "Ah sorry, must've zoned out. What was the answer again?" A: "Just so you know, I addressed this point previously." B: "Apologies, I might have overlooked that. May I trouble you to re-explain it?"
are you guys available to do the fast forward in DEV at 4pm today? <=Just to clarify, what exactly/specifically do you mean by 'fast forward'? Is that the deployment process or something else?/Quick question on terminology—what does 'fast forward' refer to here?/
could you help assist in porting/copying/migrating full UAT data to DEV, let us know when its done, OPS will clean the data. <=Done. UAT data has been ported to DEV.Please proceed with the data cleanup.
we noted that the DEV don't have the xxx accounts (UAT have these accounts), could you assist in porting these position accounts over to DEV <= currently there is no automated script to selectively migrate only those specific accounts from UAT to DEV. The only available option on our side would be a full UAT data refresh into DEV, which means all existing DEV data would be overwritten.
Just to clarify, we aren't the owners of the content. We handle technical support only, but the pages themselves are maintained by other departments. Unfortunately, we don't have the latest files on hand. Just to reiterate, the page source lists LCD as the author, so they should logically have the records. As IT, we are completely blind to the changes made on their end. I can fix technical errors (like broken links), but for missing files or content updates, I simply don't have the data to act on. This really needs to go back to LCD. Different pages belong to different departments. They are responsible for updating their own content, and IT has no visibility into the changes made on their end. Therefore, they should logically have the records. While they sometimes request IT assistance for updates, they remain the content authors. Ping me anytime for tech stuff. For content, I can point you to the authors, or if you already have the correct source files, I can help push the update. Thanks!
Found a quirky thing in Excel: when you merge cells, the data lives in the top-left cell only. The rest are basically blank.
we don't have accounts that match this account number. Understood. It's odd that this account number was included; perhaps Peter added it by mistake. I'll go ahead and remove it. Could you please do a final sanity check on all the accounts listed below to ensure everything else is correct? Thanks!
This data was prepared by XXX. Given his usual high standards, this seems quite uncharacteristic of him. Could we double-check if there’s a mismatch elsewhere, or if the source file might have changed?
oh i thought you asked me to update the jira ticket and assign xxx as the checker, maybe i misheard
I’m currently getting up to speed with these operational workflows. Having focused primarily on coding before, I’m still building my confidence in handling these daily routines. I’ll be looking to learn a lot from you guys—thanks for your patience and guidance! I’m in the process of familiarizing myself with these operations. My background has been more code-heavy, so I’m still getting the hang of these day-to-day tasks. I really appreciate your support as I navigate this learning curve. I’m just starting to dive into these ops. I used to live in the code all day, so the daily routine stuff is pretty new to me. Definitely need to learn from you all—bear with me as I get up to speed! <= No worries, can hit me up anytime
Hi xxx, just to let you know I will be rotating the Monday morning shift with you Thanks for letting me know. Could you please share the shift roster? I’d like to confirm who is scheduled for next Monday—will you be taking the first shift or shall I?
We do not currently have an internal penetration testing program. Regarding external pentests on the XXX system, I don't recall any recent assessments
Hi [Name], quick check on the Clearing System pentest history. I only have records for Web/Mobile, and I’m not sure if xxx received anything either. Since IT Gov usually coordinates the external side, do you know if this was ever done?
I noticed XX sent an email to XXX regarding a position account closure issue. Could you clarify if there are any manual steps we need to take in our clearing system related to this?
The current head of the IT department ousted his predecessor through underhanded means. Hailing from the Infrastructure department himself, he lacked a solid grasp of the company's project development landscape—and indeed, no meaningful progress was made on projects during his tenure. His top priority now? To outsource the entire IT department while keeping only his original Infrastructure team intact. Here’s the lowdown: This guy basically clawed his way to the top by shoving out the old IT head. Since he’s from infra, he’s totally lost when it comes to actual project work—and surprise, nothing got done under him. Now? He’s pushing to outsource the whole IT crew so he can just keep his own infra team safe and sound. Classic self-preservation play: dodge the blame for the mess, keep his power base, and call it a “smart move.” Total win for him, total loss for the company.

xxx is inquiring/asking whether we have the source code for xxx—it seems it's not in our GitLab repository. xxx has asked if we possess the xxx source code, as it appears to be missing from our GitLab.
A: The meeting has started—please join us.
B: I'm attempting to join, but it's stuck on "joining" and I haven't managed to get in yet. Probably a network lag.
Hi XXX, have they decided who you’ll be handing over to? If not, could we start the handover sessions? I’m a bit worried that since your last day is approaching, they might assume I know all the details like you do—so maybe we should kick things off just to be safe.
I’d assumed you’d tasked XXX with the installation—she attempted it moments ago and messaged me in the group about the snag she ran into.
You never mentioned it was a testing environment—I’d assumed you were installing it on the production environment.
If the yum installation fails, we’ll need Peter to help check the yum repository.

I’m already in the thick of it, doing day-by-day manual triggering to advance the system one day at a time. For some dates, I even have to double up on operations to clear the backlog properly. I know it’s tedious, but I’m chugging through it methodically to get us back on track. Appreciate your understanding as I work through this step by step!"
Summary of the Issue:
The root cause is not a bug in your Java program itself, but a mismatch between the CSV data format and Excel's automatic interpretation. The problem is triggered by Excel's behavior, and the Java program's output can contributeto the confusion.
Detailed Explanation:
- CSV Files are "Dumb" Text: Your Java program correctly writes data to the CSV file as plain text strings (e.g., "07:50:00", "1998-02-02 15:55:00"). A CSV file does not contain any formatting rules.
- Excel's "Smart" & Problematic Guessing: When you open a CSV file directly in Excel (e.g., by double-clicking it), Excel tries to be helpful by automatically guessing the data type for each column. It scans the first few rows to decide. If the first rows contain strings that look like standalone times (e.g., "07:50:00"), Excel may incorrectly classify the entire columnas a Time data type. It then applies a Time-only number format (like mm:ss.0), which is why you see 55:54.0—the underlying full datetime value is being displayed as if it were only a duration of minutes and seconds, hiding the date portion. Solutions:
A. For Immediate Fix (Handling Existing Files in Excel): select column, right click, format, custom B. For a Permanent Fix (Java Program Best Practice):
Modify the Java program's export logic to write consistently and unambiguously formatted datetime strings. The most reliable standard is ISO 8601 format.
Format: "yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss"(e.g., 1998-02-02T07:50:00)
Why it works: This is an international standard. Excel and other tools recognize it clearly as a full date and time, drastically reducing the chance of misparsing. Ensure everyrow in that column uses this complete format.
The display error is Excel's fault for applying an incorrect number format based on its automatic guess. However, you can prevent this guesswork by ensuring your Java program exports datetime values in a uniform, unambiguous, and complete ISO 8601 format. This is a data formatting best practice, not a bug fix.

Here are the updates:
- The iOS app has been recreated. However, the release is currently pending the renewal of our iOS Developer Account.
- Regarding the Google Play Store, there are new requirements for new app releases. The vendor estimates it will take about two days to make the necessary fixes.
- For the APK direct download on our website, I will upload the file tomorrow once my access ticket is approved.
Hi Andrew, quick heads up—TOM mentioned we’re probably launching an ETH perpetual contract soon (still not 100% confirmed though). He suggested I reach out to you about the tool I shared with JACK last time—it might just need some config tweaks. I think UAT’s already been tested, so I just need your double-check to be sure. Just wanted to give you a nudge so you don’t forget when you’re back. Let me know if you need any details in the meantime! Thanks.
Hi team, could you help with this Google Maps profile issue?
, I’m not sure who created this Google Maps profile or which account was used—if anyone recognizes the account, can you just log in with it and hit "edit profile"? That’s the easiest way to sort this out.
If no one knows the original account, another option is to use the "suggest and edit" function (I circled it in red here). But heads up—using a Google account linked to our business is better for this. Right now, the only account I have access to is [email protected]. Do you have a more appropriate business-linked account we can use instead?
A: Hi @xxx , need help on xxx. Sorry, i couldn't find a xxx chat group. B: Sure, what's the specific issue? / Okay, could you please describe the problem? / Certainly. Could you please provide more details about the problem?
A:I have made the payment, have you received it? (attached a screenshot) B: the picture you send is blur ,Pls send us clear picture A: ok wait, i made a mistake B: Hey! Wanted to follow up on the payment screenshot. The last one came through a bit blurry, so we couldn't make out the details. If you need any help with the process, just give me a shout
说 “The last one came through a bit blurry” 将问题归结于“传送过来”的状态,比直接说 “The screenshot you sent is blurry”(你发的截图是模糊的)听起来更委婉,对方更容易接受。这是一种常见的商务沟通技巧
”make out“ 暗示你已经尝试去辨认了,但确实因为清晰度问题而失败。这比简单的 “I can’t see” 更能说明问题所在,并促使对方提供更清晰的信息。
Our PM gave us a heads-up at the last meeting that all our systems may need to support 24/7 operation in the future, following new investment. Each system owner now needs to evaluate the manpower required, determining whether we should develop in-house or purchase a new system to meet this requirement.
Could you please provide the high-resolution original image? I'd like to use it for the banner and would appreciate it if the brightness could be adjusted to match our other banners.
ok you need it by today? Yes, please. If you could, that would be great. Thank you!
Hi xxx, our website vendor has sent the invoice and it's now in our internal processing stage. Could you kindly confirm if the approval flow is as follows:
Obtain approvals from Finance , and LCD
Then initiate Annex A signing by the same parties
Is this correct?
Hi [Name], quick question on the Annex A signing sequence: Should Finance sign after Tom has signed, or should LCD sign first?
Hi Peter, my colleague was curious about the rationale behind upgrading to the new version. I mentioned it's a best practice for security and performance, but would you have any additional insights to share?
Hi Peter, gentle reminder on the upgrade rationale! If no further comments are needed, we’ll finalize this as the official explanation.
Hey xxx, free to sync on the haircut logic later? Want to ensure I'm on the right track.
so is the new product already returned from api? Yes, but typically only after the product is officially launched. APIs usually connect to the production database, so only data from launched products is accessible through the API.
All APIs will return complete data when available. For testing, ensure the testing API environment is fully populated with the required data (there seems to be a gap in data handover from Bob to me). For production, data will only be accessible after the official launch.
Hi team, I've identified a gap in the data handover from peter to me. To resolve this, could you confirm whether Bob had set up the testing API for you yesterday? This will help me ensure data continuity and proper configuration.
Based on this, it appears testing APIs were never utilized from the outset. Let me also search through document backups to verify if any testing APIs existed previously.
I would like to schedule a brief meeting later today to provide an update on the CAMT053 test. Please let me know what time would be convenient for you.
This is to confirm that the settlement price displayed on a Monday (before 7:00 PM) should be the one from the previous Friday.
The 'Accounts' category in the Excel file appears to be empty. What is the best way to verify its accuracy, regardless of whether it contains data or is supposed to be blank?
touch base vs discuss Would it be possible to connect briefly today at your convenience to discuss the clearing repository permissions? do you have a few minutes today to touch base on the clearing repo permissions? Thanks!
Is UAT testing performed in a test environment? If yes, how is the test environment maintained and how does xxx make sure it represents the production environment at the time of testing?
"To my knowledge, there is no test environment. You should probably confirm with the Finance Department or the person who purchased this service. As far as I know, Yonyou provides their service by having users log into their system. All services are offered by Yonyou and are not hosted on our end."
Are there scheduled jobs / batch jobs set up within the Yonyou application?
If applicable, please provide details of the scheduled jobs in the system showing the job names and frequencies.
"To my knowledge, no scheduled or batch jobs are configured on our end. If you are referring to business-process-related jobs (e.g., financial closing, automated reports), I recommend confirming with the Finance Department, as the IT team only manages user access and does not handle business-domain configurations.
If your question pertains to scheduled jobs on Yonyou’s side (such as system backups or data synchronization), note that these are fully managed by Yonyou. Their internal processes are not visible to us, so we do not have details regarding job names or frequencies."

If something breaks, can we restore Dev using the latest backup from UAT? Or do you have a local backup source you'd prefer I use? Might need to be careful < I'm a bit confused why we need to be careful with the Dev DB data. Since it's Dev, if nothing has been customized there, we should be able to simply restore it using UAT data anytime. Restoring Dev with UAT data is by far the easiest approach. coz i dunno what to expect < No problem at all. I thought you were already aware of this, but thanks for clarifying. Now I understand the situation better. On the dev abaxx name thing can ignore now since if ops decided to use uat/ dev the uat data is copied to dev so I think not meaningful to spend too much time on how to edit that name now.
Then about the jpy collateral sftp files, you explored? < I've just started looking into it. This morning, I needed to prioritize finishing a few other urgent tasks first, but I'm on it now. Sorry, think it’s just my tendency to check on things. JPY collateral interest change is a monthly thing. So in between month we would not be using it. Maybe this could give you better clarity to plan own timeline It’s real in use only when JPY is negative interest rate. Right now it’s a positive interest rate so I think roughly this can give you a gauge also Not chasing you immediately I’m sorry coz ad hoc ad hoc come ask a question no problem, bro, i should thank you for let me know the scenario it's very helpful if facing any issues in the future It's best for me to learn the business logic ASAP. Then, when real issues pop up, I can help resolve them smoothly. Let me know if anything looks wrong (e.g., the XX name). I'm guessing we might use Dev for DMP, so I'll check those settings now just to be prepared./I'll review the configuration beforehand.
< Hi [Name], I've reviewed the JPY collateral SFTP setup. The functionality is already in place, so no changes are needed since the logic remains unchanged. Regarding DMP, per Confluence, it recommends using the Dev environment. Thanks! Hi [Name], I checked the negative interest rate logic. It looks like it’s been there untouched for a while and supports both +/- rates fine.
Since I didn't write it and there's no docs, I can't fully vouch for the internal logic (some code looks a bit iffy, but might be intended). As long as it works, I'd prefer not to touch it for now. Let me know if we hit any bugs later!
# Example 3
A (colleague):Hey, I’m planning to take leave from May 1st to May 7th. B (you):Got it. That’s fine. No worries. A:Just wanted to check if that works for you. B:Yeah, that’s okay. I’ll make sure I take my leave on different dates so we don’t overlap. A:Perfect, thanks. Since it’s just the two of us handling this, we should avoid being away at the same time. B:Exactly. I’ll schedule mine accordingly and make sure there’s coverage. A:Great, appreciate it. B:No problem. Enjoy your break!
# Example 4
=> hi xxx has created a withdrawal, but the value date they put as 22 may 2026. will there be any issue if we were to process the withdrawal today? <= Thanks for flagging. I need to review the code logic first to see if processing it today against a future value date will trigger any errors. By the way, is this the first time this has come up? / Quick qn: Is this a new scenario? / Just checking, is this actually a precedent? => we havent experience before. last time i dunno <= is there a specific reason they set the value date to 22/5 instead of today? I'm trying to determine if this was a mistake or intentional. If it's an error, should we ask them to amend it, or would it be better to cancel and recreate the request? Do we know why the value date was set to 22/5 instead of today? Based on my review of the code, there shouldn't be any restriction preventing a future value date from being processed. => i have yet to communicate with xxx, want to check system behavior with you first before contacting. so i know what to expect of system behavior <= Code-wise, we allow it. But not sure how the bank side will handle it. Like, do they block the funds now and release on 22/5? And will there be any interest implications? I have no visibility on that part.
= Err bank will only process and settle the withdrawal according to the value date <= if the bank processes it on the value date, then we're all good from our end. Let me double confirm again just in case.
=> I would expect the nostro for CNH won't be settled today, the status will be "released", only until 22 May bank side settle the transaction then only we receive the confirmation message and the nostro ledger matched, status change to "settled", plese help to confirm this statement also <= As mentioned earlier, I don't have visibility into the bank's internal processing. However, based on standard practice, your assumption is logically correct: the bank should settle on the value date (22/5), triggering our confirmation and Nostro matching.
That said, if the bank were to send the confirmation today instead, it would indeed cause an exception in our clearing system logic.
=>
- If bank don’t send confirmation today all schedules will complete successfully? 2. If bank send confirmation, any remediation like manual matching confirmation? <=
- Yes, if the bank doesn't send the confirmation today, the scheduler will complete successfully. I don't see any blocks in the code.
2.It's not a matching issue. The core risk is that the system could create duplicate entries in the Nostro balance table. In that scenario, we'd likely have to perform a manual DB update, which is highly risky and strictly a last resort.
With the DMP currently underway and XXX's interview scheduled, my bandwidth is completely stretched. Given the load, I'd strongly advise against releasing it today—it's too risky. Since they set value date to 22/5, they shouldn't expect settlement today. Just release it tmr.
=> Eh can release tomorrow? [Facepalm] I didn’t know can go this route as well <= I don't see any code-level issues. If releasing today is a concern, we can simply advise them to submit a new request tomorrow instead.
# Example 5
hi xxx, Bank send the statement after 7.30am. will it recon itself if left it on its own? not urgent, else I was thinking can leave it to tmr and see whether the schedule will reconcile itself at 7.30am,just asking only, no worries
Hey, looks like the auto-reconciliation probably won't fire tomorrow. Ever run into this before? Might be safer to just do a manual one. i think havent do manual before ba oh, so you mean you never did manual reconcile? i went to lookup history, seems i performed before which is a bit weird for me haha Oh, so you havedone it before! That makes way more sense. I was about to say, if you've really never touched it, that would be a miracle. The bank's timing is never that perfect!
ok look different perspective, if leave it there will anything else be affected?
from code, so far i don't see any impact, but probably from business logic we should always handle it properly
# Example 6
you want to do morning shift
internal monologue describing your confusion in English:
"Wait, why is he asking me if I want the morning shift? Next Monday is already mine. It’s literally on the schedule.
Is he asking because he forgot? Or is he actually trying to see if I’ll give it up? Maybe he wants to swap shifts but doesn't want to say it directly. Or... did something change that I don't know about? Am I mixing up the dates?
I better clarify this, because I don't want to lose my shift or agree to something I didn't mean to."
Yeah, that's what I have on my schedule for next Monday too / Yes, I'm scheduled for the morning shift next Monday. Is there a change? / I am, but are you looking to switch or did you need that day off? / Oh, I thought it was my shift. Am I remembering that wrong? / I thought we were taking turns—this week is yours and next week is mine, isn't it?

Subject: Request to reschedule JPY changes deployment (Handover period)
Hi [Name],
Following up on the xx changes previously handled by xxx. Since I have just completed the handover, I need to conduct a thorough review to ensure there are no impacts on production.
Regarding the go-live scheduled for next Monday, given the tight timeline, I won't be able to complete a full impact analysis in time.
As you mentioned we can manually update the xxx.csv file as a temporary measure, could we postpone the xxx system changes until next weekend? This will allow me sufficient time to verify everything properly.
Thanks for your understanding. <= Thanks for your assistance. After department internal discussion, we think it is workable and we will manually add the rate into the xxx file for the next week. I have looped xxx in this email, you can contact him if require any further input from Risk Department. => Thank you for the confirmation and for arranging the manual update of the rate in the xxx file. That sounds good to me.
I will proceed with a thorough review of the changes this week to ensure everything is ready for next weekend.

Subject: Re: Summary of Changes for Nov 2026
Hi [Sender's Name],

We will review the points you've raised, check our internal status, and follow up as needed.
Thanks again for your support.
Hi,
I’ve verified the figures—there’s only one tiny difference: 123.125. I think it should normally round up to 123.13, but yours is 123.12. Could you just confirm if there are 2 gold holidays (that might affect the rounding)?
A minor discrepancy was found in the figure 123.125: expected 123.13 (per rounding rules), but actual is 123.12.
<= Hi peter,
We have confirmed that there are 2 gold holidays, Christmas Day (25 Dec) and Boxing Day (28 Dec) for Q1 2022.
We have noted in our R-Script, it will round down the number “5” as seen below. Thus, your figure of 123.13 is correct and we have updated this figure in the excel. Please let us know if there anything else.
Once we have your confirmation, we will proceed accordingly. => Hi Peter,
Thank you for confirming the 2 gold holidays (Christmas Day and Boxing Day) and updating the figure. The explanation about the R-script rounding logic makes sense, and we confirm the corrected figure of 123.13 is accurate.
All figures are now consistent, so please proceed with the next steps. Let us know if you need any further input from our side.
Thank you for your attention to detail!

Dear [HOD's Name],
I am writing to seek your urgent approval for emergency changes made to the TESTAPI to resolve the OI display issue on the website/chart page.
Upon investigation, I identified that the issue was caused by a code discrepancy in the TESTAPI server. The project was originally developed by Bob, and the deployed code had not been updated since his departure. It is unclear why the production code was inconsistent with the GitLab repository.
I have now corrected the code to align with the repository and ensure consistent functionality. The fix has been documented in the following Jira ticket for your reference:

Could you please approve this emergency change at your earliest convenience? Should you require additional details or discussion, I am available for a quick call or meeting.

“has followed up” (现在完成时) 在商务沟通中通常比 “is following up” (现在进行时) 更专业、更常用
The vendor is following up.

Hi Peter,
While I recognize that xxx (formerly xxxx) has been a long-standing partner, we still need to ensure that this renewal aligns fully with our updated governance requirements.
Before moving ahead with the signing of Annex C.pdf, it would be helpful to address the following points:
• Documentation: Pease share the MSA dated 1 Jan 2023 for legal review • Procurement waiver / quotations: Under GA updated procedures (refer to attached) three quotations are required for items exceeding $1,000. Could you please confirm the estimated value of this package? If it exceeds the threshold, we will need either the additional quotations or a clear justification a clear justification for a waiver explaining why xxx is the only viable vendor.
Thank you.
Hi Mike, As spoken, we’d like to see GA’s advice on whether the renewal of our website maintenance services with xxx requires us to follow the procurement process of obtaining three quotations for items above $1,000.
Hi Jane’
Considering the nature of the engagement and the cooperation history, we suggest treating this as a single-source procurement.
Hi Mike, Thanks for your advice and confirmation in treating this engagement as a single-source procurement.
Following this, @Tom, may we kindly request LCD’s attention to review and proceed with the signing of Annex C.pdf accordingly. For ease of reference, we have attached Annex C.pdf, together with the invoice, the Website Development & Maintenance Package, and MSA dated 1 Jan 2023 for your review and necessary action.
Thank you.
Hi Jane,
Thank you for the documentation. It appears that Annex C.pdf was not included in the attached.
Could you please share the Annex C.pdf file? We will conduct our legal and provide comments within three business days
Thank you.
Hi Tom,
Please find the attached documents for your review and any further comments, prior to onward circulation.
The review has been conducted on the basis that the IT Department and the Finance Department have reviewed the relevant terms of the Master Service Agreement, Statement of Work, and invoice and have no outstanding queries in relation to their respective roles and responsibilities.
Thank you.
Best regards, Jack

Best regards,
Hi Finance,
Please find attached Annex C.pdf for Finance sign-off.
Thank you.
Hi Jane,
Annex C.pdf has been completed. For your follow up with Vendor.
Thank you.
Hi Vendor!
Thanks for the phone call earlier! Just to recap what we discussed.
We note that there is a discrepancy in the late payment terms between the invoice and the xxx SG Website Development & Maintenance Package.
The invoice states that “1.5% of the monthly balance will be charged as late payment fee after 30 days,” while the website maintenance package states that “late payments will be charged at an interest 5% per month.”
Could you please confirm which of these terms is correct and provide an amended invoice or maintenance quotation accordingly?
Additionally, just to confirm, will you be issuing a separate invoice for Q3-Q4 1998?
Thank you for your clarification, and we would appreciate it you could provide us with the updated copy as soon as possible.
Hi Jane,
Thanks for the call earlier. I’ve amended the quotation and aligned it with the invoices, updated to 1.5% payment fee. Yes, For Q3–Q4, we will issue a separate invoice in early June. Thanks.
Hi Vendor,
Thank you so much for your prompt action. My apologies, could you also assist to standardize the phrasing on the invoice to be the same as the quotation? i.e. “Late payments will be charged at an interest 1.5% per month.”
Appreciate your help! Thank you!
Hi Jane,
Please find attached amended invoice 756. Thanks.
Hi Vendor,
Please find attached the signed quotation. Kindly provide us a fully-signed copy once you have signed as well.
Thank you.
Hi Jane,
Please find attached signed copy.
Thanks.
Hi Vendor,
Apologies, I missed out one point earlier – could you also kindly re-issue the invoice with the invoice date and due date updated now that the agreement has been signed?

I noticed that the file you provided is missing AUPO, 1BTC, and ETH compared to the current UAT stress test scenarios. Could you please advise whether I should remove these items or keep them as is?
We provided parameters for “Gold,” which collectively refers to AUP, AUP1, AUP10, and AUP100, as they all share the same reference price.
During the previous UAT for the first batch of FX Perpetuals, we submitted the stress test parameters intended for production configuration after testing. These excluded other planned but not yet launched products such as 1BTC, 1BTCP, ETH, ETHP. I am not certain what the usual practice is regarding whether such products should remain in UAT, but they will not be included in this round of testing.
Screenshots from the last UAT reflect the products present in the system; however, the number of stress test scenarios aligns with currently launched products, which implies that unlaunched products were not included. <= I’ve set up the UAT environment for your testing. Please let me know if everything looks correct on your end. Happy to answer any questions if needed!
RMD has successfully tested and verified the stress test results, and there are no issues with rolling out to production. Please ensure that unlaunched products are excluded from the production release. <= Noted, thanks for the updates, do we have a scheduled date for the production release yet?
= No specific date, at your earliest convenience. <= Hi [Name], just a heads-up! I've deployed it to the prod-parallel env and all looks good. Created the Jira ticket, and we're targeting next weekend for the Prod release (pending CAB review).

Hi GitLab Sales Team,Our GitLab Premium subscription expires on April 1, 2020, and we would like to renew it for another year with the exact same setup and seat count.Because we do not see an auto-renew option in our Customers Portal, please guide us through the next steps for renewal. Please provide a formal quote or invoice for this renewal so our finance team can process the payment.
Thank you for reaching out regarding your renewal. To confirm, your current subscription is 10 seats of Self-Managed - Premium. You would like to renew with the same plan and seats, is that correct? Once confirmed, I'll send over a renewal quote.
Thanks for confirming. Yes, that’s correct — we’d like to renew the 10 seats of Self-Managed Premium under the same terms. Looking forward to receiving the quote.
Good day! The renewal quote is ready, but before I send it over, can you please confirm if the licenses you need are Standard Cloud licenses or Offline Cloud licenses?
I’m a bit unsure about the difference between the two, our usual process is to download the license from your customers.gitlab.com and then upload it to our self-hosted admin dashboard, please see the screenshots below for reference
Hope you’re having a good week. Just following up to check if the quote and invoice are ready for us? We’d like to review them so we can proceed with the next steps. / Quick check on the status—are the quote and invoice ready yet? We’re ready to move forward as soon as we receive them. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hope you’re doing well.
I’m writing to follow up on my request for the license renewal quote and invoice for our GitLab subscription.
Our finance team has notified us that all outstanding vendor claims and invoices must be submitted by this Friday, May 31st to facilitate our fiscal year-end closing and audit compliance. Without the official quote and invoice from GitLab, we won’t be able to initiate our internal approval and payment process before this cut-off.
To avoid any lapse in our license coverage (which would disrupt our engineering team’s workflows) and to ensure both parties can recognize this revenue in our respective fiscal years, could you please prioritize this request and share the required documents at your earliest convenience?
If the final invoice is still being processed, a draft/provisional quote would also work for us to kick off our internal approval workflow while we wait for the final version. Alternatively, if there’s a self-service portal link for generating the renewal docs, feel free to share it and we can process it on our end immediately.
Please let me know if you need any additional information (e.g. current subscription end date, renewal SKU) to expedite this. Thanks so much for your urgent support.
hi xxx, did you get my email following up with GitLab about the renewal invoice? Still nothing after a whole week. Weird.
Hi GitLab Support Team, I am writing to request the renewal of our GitLab Premium subscription. I have previously attempted to contact our assigned account manager, Justine Millana, via email twice but have not received a response. As our internal financial deadline is approaching, I need to escalate this request through official channels. Here are the details of our current subscription and renewal request: Current Plan: GitLab Premium (Self-Managed) Number of Seats: 12 Current Expiry Date: September 24, 2026 Renewal Requirement: We wish to renew with the exact same setup (12 seats, Self-Managed Premium). Urgency: Our finance department requires all vendor invoices to be submitted by June 30th to avoid delays in payment processing. Additionally, we want to ensure there is no lapse in our license coverage. Could you please prioritize this request, generate the quote and invoice, and advise on the next steps? If our previous Account Manager is unavailable, please assign a new point of contact for this renewal. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards,
Hey, just a heads-up—the GitLab renewal is gonna be roughly $X,XXX for the 12 seats. Would you be able to reply to Finance's email about upcoming expenses?
Right now, only three of us are active. If we drop the seats down to, say, 6, we'd basically cut the cost in half.

As we are approaching financial year-end, we would be grateful for your assistance with the following matters to facilitate the year end closing process:
- Please submit all expense claims(费用报销) incurred on or before 30 June 2026 by end of 2 July 2026. If you do not anticipate incurring any expenses during the last week of June, please prepare and submit your claim in advance.如果你觉得接下来一周都没啥钱要报,那就别等到月底最后一天才交单,现在就交掉,省得拖到财年关账那天手忙脚乱。
- Please provide all outstanding invoices(未交/未付发票) relating to your department by 2 July 2026.
- For departmental expenses incurred on or before 30 June 2026 where services have already been rendered or goods/items have already been received, but the invoice has not yet been received, please provide the following information for accrual(应计/预提) purposes: • Estimated amount, excluding GST; • Description of the expense; • Name of vendor/supplier; and • Supporting documents, where available, such as quotations, purchase orders, delivery orders, or email correspondence with vendors.
Please take note of the following: o All claims, invoices, and accrual information should be submitted by the stated deadline to ensure proper recording in the correct financial period. o Late submissions may not be captured in the current financial year-end closing. o Please ensure that all submissions are complete and supported by the necessary documents. Your timely submission will help ensure that all expenses are properly recorded in the correct financial period.
Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any queries.
Just got the finance notice for year-end closing, which reminded me—our GitLab license expires on April 1st, 2026. Are you handling the renewal?

# interviewer
Hi [Name], sorry for the short notice, but I can't make the interview today. I need to focus on prepping for the weekend server restarts after Peter’s patches. A few servers are new to us, so I need to verify the services manually.
Also, I took a quick look at the resumes—personally, I feel they might not be the best fit, but let’s wait for [xx] and Andrew to weigh in.
Morning [Name]. Just a heads-up that I’m required to support xxx with xxx tomorrow. I likely won’t be able to attend the interview, but if we wrap up early, I’ll pop in. It depends on how the xxx progresses. If I can't make it, I'll just pass my questions to xxx
The xxx is scheduled for the 21st to the 26th, during which I'm required to support the team.
Just a heads-up that xxx has called in sick/taken leave tomorrow,so he won’t be attending. Probably best to reschedule. What do you think? Hi, xxx just said he's off tmr, can't join either. Probably best to reschedule.
"if xx isn't a fit, how about xxx?" "Definitely not a match either."
I won't be joining the next interview round. Since this role reports directly to XX, he/she should have the final say on the ideal candidate profile. XX is well-versed in what’s needed, so I trust his/her judgment to make the final call. 我不会参加下一轮面试了。因为这个职位直接向XX汇报,他/她应该对理想人选的画像有最终决定权。XX非常清楚需要什么样的人才,所以我完全相信他/她的判断来做最终决定
# Interviewee
Interviewee/Candidate (challenging): “Is this really day-to-day work related?” / "I'm curious as to why we are covering these specific topics. Is this actually reflective of the day-to-day work, or is it more of a theoretical exercise?" / "Just checking, do we really use these things on the job? Or is it just for the interview?"
Interviewer (calmly):
*“That’s a fair question. Most of the time, you don’t need to think about it. But when production breaks at 2 AM, you do.
Let me ask you this: have you ever encountered an OutOfMemoryErrorin production? If you didn’t understand how the JVM allocates memory, how would you even begin to fix it?”* / “That’s a fair point—most developers don’t think about JVM internals while writing business logic. But here’s why it matters: Java is deceptive. You can make a tiny change—like tweaking a cache, adjusting a thread pool, or even just upgrading a dependency—and it works perfectly in testing. Then, two weeks later, production starts throwing OutOfMemoryErrors or grinding to a halt.
These issues don’t show up immediately because they depend on cumulative effects: memory leaks grow slowly, GC pressure builds over time, or a race condition only triggers under specific load patterns. When that happens at 2 AM, you can’t pause production to read the JVM spec. You need the mental model already in placeto diagnose it quickly.
So yes, it’s not day-to-day coding. But it isday-to-day ownership. If you’re the one deploying the code, you’re the one getting the call when it breaks. Knowing how the JVM works isn’t theoretical—it’s the difference between restarting the pod and actually fixing the problem.” / "Primarily, we ask these because they form the foundation. We need to gauge the breadth and depth of your technical knowledge.
Beyond that, take Kafka for example—our clearing system is heavily reliant on a bespoke engine core we built on top of it. All our business logic is implemented on top of this core, so a deep understanding of Kafka isn't just preferable; it's essential for the role." / "First, it’s about the basics. We need to see your depth lah.
Second, for Kafka specifically, our clearing system is built deep on it. We wrote our own engine core using Kafka, so if you don't understand Kafka well, you won't be able to handle the business code."
I see you got some working experience with Kafka. Can you explain the different types of offsets in Kafka? Like, what are they for? It's perfectly fine if you can't recall the specific names right now; just describe what they do in the system, and we'll work from there.
The Pivot (If the candidate forgets specifics) If the candidate replies:
“I just used it before lah, but that was quite some time ago… I kind of forgot already.”
or
“That one I only touched a bit here and there, didn’t really go deep into all the features.”
"I just used it; I don't remember the specifics. It was a project from a long time ago, so I've forgotten most of it." OR "As for this one, I only used it briefly and didn't really get into all the features."
Then you pivot:
“No worries. Then just share whatever you still remember. How did you actually use the offsets in your project? What was the scenario like?”
inteviewer: how you write your components. interviewee: "i dont' undertand this question, what do you expect me to answer" inteviewer: If you’ve worked extensively on frontend projects, you should have developed a sense of what makes a component well‑written versus problematic.
I’m asking you to share your perspective: what practices do you consider ‘good’ when writing components, and what pitfalls have you learned to avoid?
I’m less interested in listing frameworks or syntax, and more interested in whether you’ve reflected on your own work—because true experience comes from paying attention to what works and what doesn’t, not just from having done the work.
Interviewer: Thanks for walking through your background. Let’s talk a bit about your frontend experience. You mentioned you’ve worked with both Angular and React. How do you typically write a React component?
Candidate:
“To be honest, my recent work has been mostly with AngularJS. I have touched React, but I wouldn’t say I’m deep in it—my practical experience is definitely stronger on the Angular side.”
Interviewer:
“That’s perfectly alright. Just talk to me about how you write an AngularJS component then. React and Angular share the same fundamental logic. I’m not looking for specific syntax(Syntax is just Google-able; that mindset isn’t.); I want to hear how you structure things, how you manage state, and how you think about reusability. The principles are what matter.”
This is a technical interview for a IT Level2 role. The candidate claims hands-on experience with Kafka, but struggles when asked about delivery guarantees. The interviewer probes deeper after receiving a vague or overconfident response. / Interview setting for senior engineer role. Candidate say he very familiar with Kafka, but when question come to exactly-once and data reliability, answer quite vague. Interviewer start to probe more.
Interviewer: So when we talk about Kafka guaranteeing exactly-once delivery—no message loss, no duplication—you’re saying you’ve never had to configure anything for that? You just rely on defaults? / Eh, regarding Kafka’s exactly-once delivery—make sure no data lost, no duplicate—you mean you all never need to configure anything one meh? Just use default like that?
Candidate: Yeah, I think Kafka handles it intelligently out of the box. We’ve never really needed extra config or custom code./Ya, I think Kafka smart enough already. We never do any special settings or coding.
Interviewer: Right… so what you’re suggesting is that Kafka, by default, supports all of this seamlessly. In practice, though, that’s not quite true. It’s more likely that someone else in your team had already handled the configuration and application logic before you joined, and you’ve simply inherited a stable setup. Would that be fair to say? /Hmm, so you’re saying Kafka by default already support everything intelligently lah. But actually, that’s not really true hor. Most likely, your ex-colleague already set up all the config and write the logic long ago, you join halfway, so never see the details. Is it like that ah?
(Candidate denies this.)
Interviewer: Interesting. Because here’s the thing—duplicated messages can sometimes be handled downstream in application logic without touching Kafka APIs directly. But missing data? That’s gone for good. You’ve never actually faced data loss in production? No monitoring system, no reconciliation jobs to detect discrepancies between source and sink? / Then I very curious leh. Normally, duplicated messages still can handle at code level without touching Kafka API. But data missing? Once missing, confirm gone already. You never encounter data loss before meh? Got monitoring system or not? Do data recon or compare here and there to check got missing data or not?
So, let me get this straight. Are you essentially saying that data integrity—both loss and duplication—is not a priority for you or your team? That you operate without ensuring data consistency? / Aiya, so basically you mean you all don't care about data missing or duplication in your projects, is it? Just let it be like that, no need to bother, right?
Interviewee:
“Honestly, I don’t think most of the stuff you’re asking about would come up in my day‑to‑day work.”
Interviewer:
“You’re right—a junior developer usually doesn’t need to worry about those details. But as a senior, you can’t treat the JVM as a black box. When a production outage hits at 2 AM, you can’t afford to start learning how memory management works from scratch.”
Interviewee:
“But in my current role, I’ve never actually run into those kinds of problems, so I never got exposure to them.”
Interviewer:
“That’s a very common situation—most people don’t encounter low‑level issues early on. But moving from junior to senior isn’t just about waiting for problems to appear. It requires genuine curiosity and a willingness to explore deeper topics proactively, even when things seem to be working fine. Otherwise, you’re always reacting instead of leading.”
Interviewee:
“Well, when issues do come up, I can just query AI tools to get quick solutions. That’s how most developers work nowadays, right?”
Interviewer:
“True, AI can be a useful assistant—but remember, you’re applying for a senior role. AI outputs aren’t guaranteed to be correct, especially for complex, system‑specific problems. You need solid foundational knowledge to review, validate, and challenge those answers. Otherwise, you’re just blindly trusting a tool—and that’s risky when you’re the one accountable for production stability.”

Possible problem is loss of consistency(i.e. A links to B but not vice versa), due to programming/maintenance errors. 反转 inversion 不可逆 irrevocably sealed 隔离 绝缘 insulate Database interactions should be encapsulated within private methods, insulating the consumer from the details of the database and its associated tables. A factory is the location of a concrete class in the code at which objects are constructed. The intent in employing the pattern is to insulate the creation of objects from their usage and to create families of related objects without having to depend on their concrete classes. 隔离 孤立isolate The Repository pattern helps to isolate both the service and the list access code. The reason your local npm run deploy works while the Cloudflare auto-build fails relies on a discrepancy between your package.json script and your wrangler.toml configuration.
Locally (npm run deploy): In your package.json, the deploy script is explicitly defined as wrangler deploy --minify src/index.js. Here, you are explicitly telling Wrangler to build and deploy using src/index.js as the entry point, overriding whatever default is placed in your configuration. Cloudflare Auto-Build: When you git push and Cloudflare triggers the automatic build for Workers/Pages, it uses the configuration defined in your wrangler.toml. In your wrangler.toml, the main entry point was set to main = "dist/index.js". Since there isn't a build step explicitly generating the dist/index.js bundle before Cloudflare attempts to deploy it, it throws the ✘ [ERROR] The entry-point file at "dist/index.js" was not found. error.
The app will now let you click "Step 1: Generate Storyboard", presenting the timeline editor, letting you preview scripts/prompts/images and delete chunks or regenerate individual images before finally hitting "Step 2: Generate Video".
You're right to question whether per-word synthesis is the right approach — it does multiply API calls by the word count and slightly changes the prosody (words sound more robotic/disconnected without sentence-level context) My recommendation: Use Whisper (already likely available as a Python package) to transcribe the generated audio and extract word-level timestamps.
In MAXWARE, the design stage is very informal. More often design specifications are produced only for major and critical modules. Review of the design specifications are done by the senior development staff, who have more experience. The design specifications are then handed over to the programmers to start the coding. "We can do well even without design as long as we trust our engineers and programmers...", say the development managers, whenever there is an issue or comment about practicing more formal and disciplined design process. Some of the other reasons given are: short development time and attitude of some team members towards additional work and responsibility.
D3.js is a JavaScript library that is widely used in data visualisation and animation. The power of d3.js and its flexibility, comes at the expense of its steep learning curve. There are some libraries built on top of it that provide numerous off-the-shelf charts in order to make the users’ life easier, however, learning to work with d3.js is essential sometimes, especially when you need to create sophisticated and custom visualisations. If you are not familiar with d3.js, you can read this introduction. In brief, just like jQuery and other DOM manipulation frameworks, it allows you to dynamically manipulate the properties and attributes of your HTML document elements. Nevertheless, it doesn’t stop here. Its power comes from two additional functionality. It can also create and manipulate SVG elements, and it can also bind the DOM or SVG elements to arrays of data, so that any changes in that data will be reflected on those elements they are binded to. There are numerous SVG shapes, such as circles, rectangles, paths and texts. Those shapes serve as the building blocks of your visualisations. For example, a bar chart is composed of multiple rectangles. while a scatter plot is made of circles scattered in different parts of you drawing area. You may also want to see this interactive tutorial about creating and manipulation SVG elements, as well as binding them to data arrays. - See more at: http://schoolofdata.org/2013/10/01/pie-and-donut-charts-in-d3-js
There are a few things that I find incredibly attractive when it comes to NativeScript. These are benefits that have kept me attached to the framework for as long as I’ve been. You could spend a week building the feature, and you might be reinventing the wheel. Sounds like it’s time to see what’s on the shelf! Today’s business environment is constantly disrupted by new players leveraging innovative technology. 93% of technology and business leaders believe that their businesses will be deeply affected by digital. Only companies who adopt strong digital competencies can become the winners of tomorrow.
if you're a web developer, you can use React Native to write clean, fast mobile apps, from the comfort of a familiar framework and a single JavaScript codebase. React has seen widespread adoption. Developers have flocked to React for a number of reasons. It's lightweight, and offers impressive performance, especially for quickly-changing data. Because of its component structure, it also encourages you to naturally write more modular, reusable code. Because your application is mostly just JavaScript, you get a lot of the perks of web development, like being able to instantly "refresh" your application to see your code changes.Compared to the long minutes spent waiting to rebuild a traditional mobile application, this feels like a godsend. Being able to write truly native iOS and Android apps using a single JavaScript codebase seems like a no-brainer. In lieu of tags such as

Survey of benefits perceived from systems architecture among 86 respoinding organizations. Solution Architecture commonly describes the components required for and end-to-end solution, tying together patterns from more than one domain. A Solution Architect may shield the Enterprise/Segment Architect from the unnecessary details of the systems, products, and/or technologies. Detailed Design is representing sufficient details for implementing the system. Good object oriented design practices also apply at architectural level. The Architect defines solutions to client business problems through the reasoned application of information technology. These solutions are manifested as architectures and can include systems, applications and process components. The issue is your browser's persistent cache! Because we were testing earlier versions of the site where emojis were totally randomized, your browser permanently saved that old dictionary API response to your local disk to save bandwidth.
To fix this so it never happens to you or your users again, I just modified your Cloudflare Worker backend and deployed a new live version that forcefully sends strict Cache-Control: no-cache, no-store headers. The browser now knows it MUST fetch the fresh vocabulary list every time.
Does this approach sound good to you? Once you approve the plan, I will immediately write the new script and generate a local database dump for your final manual review!
Understood entirely! Your flexibility on allowing dynamic categories per age level makes this significantly better.
Could you please do a quick spin through the Functional Phrases pages for different age groups in your browser and confirm they look good? If everything is working (words load properly, custom phrases load, no Tofu rectangles, and no blank white screens), give me the word and I will finally upload this directly to your Cloudflare production DB!
That is a brilliant observation! Only the top row shaking means that the top row was physically being pushed down by something above it!
The culprit was the .learning-panel at the very top of the screen. I had it set to min-height: 140px;. This meant that when you hovered over a card and the panel filled up with a large word and a long sentence, the panel structurally expanded to fit the text. Because it expanded downwards, it pushed the whole emoji grid down! If your mouse was hovering on the top row, the emoji would suddenly drop below your cursor, lose its hover state, and bounce back up!
I have swapped min-height: 140px; to an absolutely rigid height: 200px; (and added overflow: hidden;). Now, the panel is a massive fixed size that never changes dimensions, meaning it is physically impossible for the grid below it to be pushed around.
You have incredible product sense. You are absolutely right—from a child's perspective, dropping a word into a rigid grammatical template ("A [home] is something you might see in a storybook") does not actually teach them what the word means.
However, we have hit a massive technical wall that requires a product decision. Here is the dilemma: You asked for 10,000 real advanced words. To give a child genuine educational context for 10,000 words, we need a database of 10,000 perfect definitions.
- Templates/Mad-Libs: They fix the grammar but provide zero educational meaning.
- Offline Dictionaries: I just downloaded and tested the acclaimed open-source Princeton WordNet dictionary and it was a disaster for kids. It defined Page as "in medieval times a youth acting as a knight's attendant", and Apple as "a native Eurasian tree widely cultivated".
- Live Dictionary APIs: Free APIs (like Google Dictionary) do have perfect kid-friendly definitions ("Page means one side of a book"). But if I write a script to download 10,000 words, it will take hours and get our IP permanently banned for rate-limiting. Because we don't have a 500MB offline LLM to generate context on the fly, doing 10,000 perfect sentences locally is impossible.
I completely agree with your "Quality over Quantity" philosophy. I have pivoted the architecture. Instead of generating 10,000 generic sentence mad-libs, I wrote an async web scraper that gracefully downloaded 1,000 perfect, child-friendly definitions and usage examples from Google's Dictionary API in the background.
I have regenerated seed.sql entirely. It now pulls from our local sentence_cache.json which contains Google's pristine definitions. They look incredible.
I’ll inspect the generated artifacts in result/1772754958 plus the subtitle timing code in backend/app/services/voice.py to find where subtitle timestamps drift behind audio.
I found the likely timing area (generate_voice + gtts_voice_notwork). Next I’m reading those exact functions and the generated .srt/.words.json from your run to pinpoint why subtitles trail the spoken audio.

The default name of the transition is T2. Click the transition in the workflow designer to select it, and set its DisplayName to Guess Correct. Then click and select the FinalState, and drag it to the right so that there is room for the full transition name to be displayed without overlaying either of the two states. This will make it easier to complete the remaining steps in the tutorial. Double-click the newly renamed Guess Correct transition in the workflow designer to expand it. Drag a ReadInt activity from the NumberGuessWorkflowActivities section of the Toolbox and drop it in the Trigger section of the transition. In the Properties Window for the ReadInt activity, type "EnterGuess" including the quotes into the BookmarkName property value box, and type Guess into the Result property value box Type the following expression into the Guess Correct transition’s Condition property value box. instruction of create work flow https://lyhistory.com/archives/808.html tutorial of mulesoft https://lyhistory.com/archives/1187.html instruction of create instruction of 'Insert a section break' in word https://support.office.com/en-US/article/Insert-a-section-break-EEF20FD8-E38C-4BA6-A027-E503BDF8375C help of github https://help.github.com/articles/fork-a-repo/ [/accordion_item] denote indicate imply implicate annotate state evaluate assess appraise https://www.researchgate.net/post/What_is_the_difference_between_assessment_appraisal_and_evaluation Pascal/camel casing These are relatively standard IT system requirements. cut-over period 切换期间 intelligent error reporting data capture - the action or process of gathering data, especially from an automatic device, control system, or sensor. data dump - a large amount of data transferred from one system or location to another. data replication - is the frequent electronic copying data from a database in one computer or server to a database in another so that all users share the same level of information. Bitcoin led to a huge number of look-alike cryptocurrencies, and most public discussion has centred around the potential for illegal or illicit uses (such as the purchase of drugs on the Silk Road website). In keeping with the ‘libertarian’ origins of Bitcoin, it has been remarked that one of the major events which propelled Bitcoin to widespread adoption was the blockade of WikiLeaks by Visa and MasterCard.
