二极管也是半导体材料制作，但不是晶体管 a diode only has two terminals (anode and cathode) and allows current to flow in one direction, whereas a transistor has three terminals (emitter, base, and collector)

A Triode (Historical Predecessor) is largely replaced by transistors but foundational to electronics history, it's an older vacuum tube device (not a transistor) that amplifies signals, while a transistor is a semiconductor device.
